Simulated Game Days are the core of our business. We have over 10 years experience and are genuinely proud of the days we offer.
We like to think our simulated days are a mirror image of a real game day only out of season and with clays! We have over 10 years experience and are still tweaking things and looking for new innovative ideas! The simulated days for 16 guns are our flagship days.
We shoot in two teams of 8 guns, meaning that 8 guns shoot and the guns not shooting load. We shoot 4 drives every day and include an unlimited amount of cartridges throughout your day. The hospitality is identical to the a real day and we utilise our custom built lodge on the days.
Below is an itinerary of a normal Simulated Game day at Raisthorpe:
Guns meet a 9.15am in our custom built shooting lodge for coffee and bacon sandwiches and a safety briefing/brief of the format of the day.
Guns depart the lodge at 10.00am to go to the first drive. Guns shoot in pairs, one gun loads while the other shoots. The drive lasts for approximately 10 minutes before guns swap roles. We shoot the drive twice and the line of guns rotate as you would on a real day before doing it again.
After all the guns have drive twice the guns return to the lodge or our new 11's cabin for a quick drink and some refreshments.
Following 11's the team then shoot a second drive. As with the first drive this is shot twice as the line of guns rotates.
After the second drive the team return to the lodge for lunch.
Following lunch the team of sixteen is split down in to 4 groups of 4 guns. 2 teams go to the rabbit drive whilst the other 2 go to one of our partridge drives. All four teams then shoot a 150 bird flush which is scored.
Following the flush competition the team returns to the lodge for afternoon tea and the prize giving. after which guns depart Raisthorpe having a had a fantastic day! This is usually around 4.30 - 5.00pm.
