You can expect a fun, friendly and enjoyable day with us at Raisthorpe. We offer different types of days including Double Gun, Syndicate, Group and Corporate however a typical day at Raisthorpe includes breakfast in the lodge, a safety briefing and then groups depart for shooting with our experienced coaches. We then host our Elevenses in The Nest with stunning views and plenty of food and drink. After this, more shooting on our different simulated clay pigeon targets, before lunch in The Lodge. Shooting continues in the afternoon although other options are available for our Corporate Days including Gin Tasting, Archery and 4x4 Off Roading. Our Corporate Days can be tailor made to suit your requirements. We can also include competitions to any of our days, which is great for team-building or just having fun!

Wellies and waterproofs are always a good idea to put in the boot of your car, just in case! Other than that, comfortable, casual clothing and sensible footwear is all you need. We supply caps, however you may wish to bring glasses/sunglasses if you wish.

There is no need to bring anything with you. We provide the following:

• Hearing and eye protection
• Public liability insurance

Recoil is simply the backward movement of a gun when it is discharged. People are often worried about whether shooting with hurt because of this movement. However, if you have the appropriate gun and are holding it correctly, then it shouldn’t hurt. We have experienced instructors who will be able to advice and help you with this. If you feel like there is a lot of recoil, we have extra pads for your shoulder. We also use low recoil cartridges and for ladies we have small bore guns available.
